Charoenpong Punsiri – or ‘Jack’ – is one of the most active members of the Activities Committee of Thai-Danish Club. “Studying in Denmark built up my self-confidence,” Jack says when trying to sum up the benefit of his Danish influence.

A happy bunch of members and friends of Thai-Danish Club went on Saturday 5 July on a trip together to Saraburi to explore the Thai Danish Dairy Farm, and the Khao Yai Winery.

Thai-Danish Club has a special ability. These guys can make people wake up at 5 in the morning to gather at 6.30 outside the main auditorium of Kasetsart University – which is really not the most accessible place in Bangkok. Actually we were not all there by 6.30, but by departure time 7.00 we were. Still we waited until 7.40 for the last “missing person” – except this missing person was not missing at all! He had just climbed directly up into the bus and snuggled up to take a nap without anybody noticing it!...  Full Story >>

Each biker had to find their way to gather with their team mate and each team had to come up with the name of their team, follow the map given by Jack, and find their direction toward the map to the rally game, which was marked in the map...  Full Story >>

It was an enjoyable and relaxing evening for both Danes and Thai having a chance to mingle again. And it’s not only because of the fun games that made this tournament lively, but also the environment surrounding friends and colleagues spicing up this lovely evening.  Full Story >>

With stern authority we were told to put on our life jackets, say goodbye to our loved ones and get into the flimsy little, brightly coloured rubber rafts which would be our only means of survival for the next hour and a half.

Frankly, this looked like a recipe for a disaster: You invite members of a club who have never met before to get up at five o’clock on a Saturday morning to catch a bus to an unknown event called “water rally” 200 km south of Bangkok…  Full Story >>

The Alumni Evening at the Danish Embassy was once again a success. The evening was meant to be a platform where Danish and Thai people could meet and get to know each other and this year more than 100 people chose to do so.

If good food makes a good party then the Alumni Evening was without a doubt one of this years best parties. Danish “snitter”, Danish pastry and last but definitely not least hot dogs in the Danish way all made memories come back even for people who had not been in Denmark since the 60’s.  Full Story >>
