The Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (Det Danske Handelskammer) offers a trainee position for 6-12 months, starting mid August or mid February every year.

The Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce was established in 1992 as the first Danish Chamber in the South East Asia region. It is a non-political, non-profit orientated legal entity dedicated to be a forum for businessmen in Thailand who are involved in business between Thailand and Denmark.

This is your opportunity to get international work experience and to gain access to an invaluable network of Danish companies in South East Asia.

Where
The office is located in the inner suburbs, just minutes from the heart of Bangkok.

Work assignment
Your job as a trainee is, together with the Chamber’s Danish director and the Thai secretary, to be the working platform for the Chamber. You will have the opportunity to work in many different areas and handle many different assignments. Your will have the chance to work with the following:

- Event planning and assisting in networking events, business events.
- Assist in board meetings and breakfast meetings
- Company visits and interviews
- Membership service

Your main task will also be to update the chambers website with news stories (some of which you will write yourself), market analysis’, press releases from our members, events, anything that could be of interest to the Danish and Scandinavian business community in Thailand.

Traineeship
The traineeship is an educational position which can provide you with valuable practical working experience. You will get the chance to be part of the network of Danish companies in Thailand and experience how a non-profit organization works. The traineeship is not a career job but it can give you the opportunity to experience another culture and obtain valuable cross-cultural knowledge as well as an extensive network. Being a connection point for all the members you get invaluable contacts which would prove you beneficial for a potential career in the region.

The applicant’s qualifications
- A bachelor degree
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Outgoing and flexible
- Interested in working with different people and handling multiple tasks

Support / Funding
The Chamber is a non-profit organization and therefore the Trainee is expected to finance the stay through grants and scholarships. The Chamber will though provide and pay for your work permit, visa and insurance during the traineeship.
