The Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce is a non-political, non-profit orientated legal entity for businesspeople in Thailand who are involved in business between Thailand and Denmark.

The purpose of the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce is not only to provide Danish-Thai companies with a stronger collective voice towards the Thai authorities but also to further promote and expand trade between Thailand and Denmark as well as establish a forum for networking among the Thai and Danish businessmen living here or traveling here on business.

Through Chamber events and media, DanCham acts as a forum, where ideas, experiences and knowledge are exchanged, and where members will be exposed to an invaluable network in the Region.

The Chamber was established on 30th June 1992 as the first Danish Chamber in the South East Asia region.

Organisation

As a non-profit organization, DanCham is funded entirely by membership fees and revenue generated from events and media activities. The Chamber is run the Executive Director backed up by supporting Chamber staff.

Every third Wednesday of the month, the Chamber staff consults with the Board of Directors, all elected by the DanCham members in Annual General Meeting. The board is furthermore divided into very active subcommittees to drive the Chamber further in its work.

What can the Chamber do for you?

The main objective of DanCham is to strengthen the network of Danish and Thai Coorporations in the region, as well as promoting and developing trade links between Denmark and Thailand.

The Chamber aims to provide members with ample opportunity to network and learn more about doing in business in Thailand. Through very popular monthly networking events, conferences and seminars with high ranking speakers treating matters that affects trade in the region. The Chamber brings along a national touch by hosting the traditional Danish Christmas and Easter Lunches. A perfect occasion for our Thai connections to experience a piece of Denmark.

The new website www.dancham.or.th and bimonthly Danish-Thai Trade News aims to update our members of current affairs of the chamber and the progress of our members. Our media will act as a member to member platform of updates of what is happening with the Danish-Thai business community.

Corporations

Through these activities the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce is, alongside the Embassy of Denmark, a key institution in keeping the Danish business community informed on the latest political and economic developments in Thailand, and in providing a forum for open and frank discussions between Thais and Danes on contemporary issues of concern.

In addition the Danish Chamber works closely with the European Commission to Thailand and Asia House in Denmark. Joint events are often held with other bilateral Chambers in Thailand, in particular the Nordic Chambers of Commerce (Sweden, Norway and Finland).

The Danish Chamber furthermore plays an active role in the activities of the Joint Foreign Chamber of Commerce Thailand (JFCCT). The JFCCT, representing more than 9000 members, has a number of very relevant sub-committees that do an excellent job in improving the business environment in Thailand to the benefit of both Thai and foreign investors.

Nordic Young Professionals - Thailand

The Nordic Young Professionals - Thailand group is a division of the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce, aiming for gathering Nordic Young Professionals, interns and students in Bangkok for Networking Events.

The Nordic Young Professionals NYP – For young Nordics who work or study in Thailand

The group offers frequent events where you can exchange ideas and experiences with other young Nordics, acquire new friends and expand your network.

To qualify for membership you must to fulfill the following

· Originate from Denmark, Sweden, Finland or Norway

· Work or study in Thailand on a short or long term basis

· Be below 35 years of age

Membership of Nordic Young Professionals entitles you to member price at NYP events as well as member price to certain Nordic Chamber events.

If you are young at heart at still would like to join the events at NYP member price we recommend you to become a member of one of the Nordic Chambers (Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thai Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Thai Finnish Chamber of Commerce, or Thai Norwegian Chamber of Commerce)
